2018 Executive Board Members

Theresa Jones, President, lives in Morehead City with her husband, Floyd.  Theresa is a leader in her church, One Foundation, and serves as Family Promise site coordinator there.  She is a North Carolina native and has a BS degree from Campbell University, a master’s degree from UNC Greensboro, and a 6 year degree in School Administration from NC State University.  She worked as a teacher, administrator, and served in low performing schools.  She is retired now and has 1 son and 1 grandchild.  Her passions include children and animals, particularly shelter dogs, and she enjoys traveling, camping, and kayaking.

Joan King, Treasurer, lives in Newport and has served as site coordinator for St. James Methodist Church since 2011.  She is one of the founders of Family Promise.   After high school graduation in St Petersburg, Florida and attending St. Pete Jr. College, Joan worked at Honeywell.  While married and raising children, she worked as elementary schools Supervisor of School Food, and at her church she was day care director and bookkeeper.


2018 Board Members

Keith Henry lives in Atlantic Beach with his wife of 26+ years, Beth Parker Henry.  He is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Morehead City, and serves as Family Promise site coordinator there.  Keith has been a Boy Scout leader for 8 years and a Scout Master for 6 years.  He manages Parkway Shopping Center in Morehead City and is a member of the West Carteret High School Chain Gang.  Keith loves to hunt and fish.  He has 4 children and 6 grandchildren.

Nancy Domanski is a graduate of Swansboro High School and grandmother of 4. She lives in Cedar Point with her husband of 22 years, Robert.  She is active in her church, Emmanuel Baptist.  She is also a hearing aid specialist with Miracle-Ear in Morehead City.  Nancy is involved in the Morehead City and area communities. She is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and participates in many Chamber activities. Nancy fulfills her passion for helping by serving on the Family Promise Board and by visiting area assisted living institutions.
